Rock climbing in
Turkestan range

Rock walls of Lailak and Karavshin

Karavshen peak

The Karavshin and the Lailak region is part of the Turkestan range (south west Kyrgizstan, north of Zerafshan-valley). The area reminds of Patagonia, the most popular area fo complicated rock ascents. You have to appreciate wall routes around warm rocks. Sunny weather, clear rivers and alpine meadows help to recover quickly after the ascents.
